Reaching Out to the World

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. Mark 16:15(KJV)

“But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?:  Romans 10:14 (NLT)

At Neema Church we believe that the ultimate God-First lifestyle involves reaching out to people who are in need. We believe the Church exists to evangelize the world. We believe we are called as Christ’s Ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20) to represent the kingdom of God and its agenda here on earth. Knowing that the harvest is great but the workers are few (Matt 9:37), we are committing to be part of the end time harvest.

Our mission’s activities focus on meeting the needs of the lost and hurting both abroad and at home. We are called to serve the poor and marginalized community in Turkana in partnership with Share International Inc. especially children, women and youth by addressing their needs in education, health, unemployment and promotion of their rights and responsibilities
Turkanaland is a dry desert region located in northwestern Kenya. Comprising an area of over 24,000 sq mi, it is home to over 500,000 people. Most of these people belong to the nomadic Turkana tribe. Their livelihood is extremely dependent on all aspects of their environment. Livestock is an extremely important resource as it provides food and wealth. The land is barren and nearly inhospitable. Famine and drought are prevalent. Disease wreaks havoc on the people.

Many people in the Turkana tribe still adhere to their traditional centuries-old religion. Witchdoctors hold a powerful influence over the people. In the last two years, we have sent 2 missionaries each year equipped with the Word, knowledge in healthcare and funds to support the ongoing projects in Turkana.
